Description

The Masai Mara is Kenya’s most popular safari destination and for good reason. It is a vast reserve of endless flat grassland crossed by rivers which play host to wildlife’s most spectacular moments. Within the park you get all the big game tickets, lion, hippo, crocs, rhino, you name it, Masai Mara has it.

Masai Mara Attractions

Wildlife 95 species of mammals, amphibians and reptiles and over 400 birds species have been recorded including annual wildebeests migration involving over 1.5 million animals.

Best time to visit

The best time to visit the Masai Mara for the migration is between July and October, but that's not to say you shouldn't consider another time of year, which may be just as rewarding. The Mara is best known for the great wildebeest migration, which moves up from the Serengeti from around July until sometime in October, when it starts to head back south again.

Getting to Masai Mara

Main roads are all weather. Game viewing trucks can only be used by four wheel drives during the rainy season. Three airstrips serve the Mara:- Keekorok, Olkiombo, and Musiara all of them murramed.
