SHORT DESCRIPTION: Matendo Children Centre is a charitable children’s Home situated in Kibwezi, Makueni County. Matendo started in the year 2011 by 11 Members with 24 children. This was to rescue children who lost their parents to go back to school.They started living with them in their homes until 2014 where they build a home with the help of community church.The young ones go to the nearest schools whereby 18 older joined secondary school and they go back during school holidays.Due to the kindness of the Members, Action for Better World Association  felt the need to offer support to the Matendo Childrens Home by ensuring children are learning, having a good meal, medication, shelter and clothing.

VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES: Nurture the children’s talents; Equipping kids with skills; Spiritual nourishment; Enlightening kids future; Teaching the kids responsible behavior; Helping kids choose the best for themselves.

ACCOMMODATION: You will be accommodated in a host family in Makaani Village, Makueni County where you will be commuting to the project on a daily basis.
